Company presentation

The MAJAR Company was founded in 1986, to perpetuate the Huard Company, an industrial site of Carcassonne (global ploughing leader in the 1950).

With the industrial know-how (plough, cultivation equipment) the new management targets the sector developing mechanical garden tools and green space equipment.

Majar’s competitive positioning is a range in mid-to-high-end segment.

To retain the clients, like distributers, collectivities and private persons, the company’s strategy is to privilege:

  • The quality: products evaluated on  the company testing site before any launching; strict quality control during every production cycle.
  • Product availability: very important to position the brand in strongly seasoonal business where a stockout is irretrievable.
  • The presence with a sales staff of 8 members (factory / representative for several firms)
  • Innovation: the company deposited several patents and modells.
  • The design characterizes the company.

94% of production is made in Carcassonnais.

The overall effect of this policy makes of MAJAR a referent player on the French market. Today Majar is present in all the French distributor organizations (Mr Jardinage, France Espaces Verts, Univert, Verts loisirs, Cofaq, Promodis, etc...), and at the same time at many independent resellers.

The export remains one of the major projects of the company with differents shows (SALTEX, GALABAU, FIMA) to establish the notoriety of its know-how.
